Skiing is relaxation but adventure too

Skiing appeared thousands of years ago, in Northern Europe and Asia. It seems that the first skiers have built strips of animal bones related to shoes with leather cords. Wooden skis were found in Norway, Finland and Sweden between 2500 and 5000 years old. They were used only for flat surfaces taking into account the fact that the long and narrow side didn’t remain attached to the ice when people tried to descend the hill.
There was a time when skis were used in war. During the Battle of Oslo, Norway (1200), the locals used skis to spy on enemies Swedish II. In 1747, was established a military company of skiers. Modern skiing was developed in 1850. Norwegian Sondre Norheim invented the first fixed link between Skiingthe boots and the offshoot. Skiing has become a very popular competitive sport in the early twentieth century. The first slalom race was held in Sweden in 1921. After three years, the Nordic competitions were included in the Winter Olympics and in 1936, were the main attraction at events in the Alps
Nowadays, skiing is the most popular winter sports with almost 45 million and thousands of passionate fans worldwide. This sport was developed in a certain extent, complementary in sports, for example snowboarding. Skiing is a sport that helps a lot to relax. This adventure, which takes place in the middle of pristine nature, it’s the fans most wanted strong sensations, but also searching for noisy slopes that the resort dedicate to winter sports. This sport, in all its forms and its divisions, it is increasingly practiced, especially for a sport that is considered timeless. From young to old, from men to women, everyone wants to sit on skis, to put on gloves and spectacles, get sticks in hand, and to venture on the trail. That smooth descent of the slopes of resorts, as well as renting the equipment or going higher on the mountain with the lift, are actually assaulted during the winter season, by those eager to longer beneficial once a trail, or by those willing to learn.
But there are some risks that skiing involves like any other extreme sport
Ski injuries are more frequent in knees. The most common are sprains, which may have varying degrees: from the mild to the severe, with more than two ligaments affected. In general, the knee may be involved in three types of lesions: those of previous cross ligament, the meniscus or joint capsule. Because of boots that make a link with the tibia, may also occur leg fractures.
